[My Daily = Reporter Lee Jungwon] "I've had outstanding performances in the last two seasons."
Will Song Sung-moon, who announced his bid to advance to the Major League, be able to achieve his dream.
"Players who are posted in the KBO League and NPB (Japan Professional Baseball) have limited time to sign contracts. The KBO League has 30 days and the NPB has 45 days. The end date of two of them is approaching," the MLBTR said on Wednesday.
"KBO League infielder Song Seong-moon has to sign his contract by 5 p.m. on Dec. 21 (7 a.m. on Dec. 22 in Korea), and giant Murakami Munetaka has to sign his contract by 5 p.m. on Dec. 22," he said. The posting deadline for Song and Murakami is imminent.
Song Sung-moon is a player who recently bombed the KBO League. After making his first-team debut in 2015, Song Sung-moon was a starting player for the Heroes until 2023, but he was nothing more than a regular player.

However, he has become simply the best player since the 2024 season. In the 2024 season, he recorded 179 hits, 19 home runs, 104 RBIs, 88 runs, 21 steals, a batting average of 0.340 and recorded 181 hits, 26 home runs, 90 RBIs, 103 runs, 25 steals, and a batting average of 0.315 in 144 games. In addition to the record for the most consecutive stolen bases in the history of the KBO League, he succeeded in 20 home runs and 20 steals for the first time as an individual. And this season, he completed his best season by winning the third baseman's Golden Glove Award for the player of the year selected by the players at the KBO 3rd baseman's defense award and the Real Glove Award.
In addition, Song Sung-moon signed a multi-year contract with Kiwoom in the middle of the 2025 season with a six-year, 12 billion full guarantee, and based on his two-year performance, he was eligible for Major League posting.
Song Sung-moon said in early December, "I think I will go to the U.S. if I enter the stage of signing a contract, but I will work out in Korea until then," adding, "Whether it's good or bad, I'm curious about it, so I'm checking it carefully. Even if a good evaluation article comes out, I won't put much meaning into it. I'm not signing a contract, but I'm working hard at the agent, so I don't care much."
With only four days left before the deadline for posting negotiations, the U.S. is also interested in which team Song Sung-moon will go to.
MLBTR said, "Song Sung-moon is not as popular as Murakami, but he has achieved remarkable results in the last two seasons. He hit .327 with an on-base plus .397 with a slugging percentage of .524 during his two seasons. He has displayed outstanding batting eye and contact ability with a walk rate of 10.5 percent and a strikeout rate of 14.3 percent."
Murakami is a major player who took over the NPB. He recorded 892 games in the NPB with 843 hits, 246 homers, 647 RBIs, 535 runs and a batting average of 0.270 . He won the Rookie of the Year in 2019, the Central League MVP and the Japan Series in 2021, and the youngest triple crown winner in the league along with the MVP in 2022. In 2022, Murakami had five consecutive home runs and 56 home runs in total.

"Murakami is well known for his young age and overwhelming slugging capability. Despite concerns over his contact capability, Murakami is drawing keen attention. He is expected to sign a substantial multi-year contract in the free agent market. However, his agent has kept the negotiation situation completely private so far," MLBTR said.
What will happen to our fate.
