[Mydaily = Reporter Park Seoyeon] Mukbang creator Ipjjal-eun Haetnim (real name Kim Mi-kyung) has been embroiled in allegations that she received illegal medical treatment from the so-called “Injection Aunt,” following similar claims involving broadcaster Park Na-rae and SHINee’s Key.
On December 18, Dispatch released KakaoTalk messages exchanged between Park Na-rae’s former manager and the individual identified as “Injection Aunt” A, raising suspicions that Ipjjal-eun Haetnim illegally received diet pills and IV drips from A.
According to the report, A allegedly boasted that Ipjjal-eun Haetnim successfully lost 30 kilograms thanks to the diet pills she provided.
Ipjjal-eun Haetnim was also said to have acted as an intermediary. When A entrusted medication to her, Ipjjal-eun Haetnim’s manager reportedly received the drugs and delivered them to Park Na-rae’s former manager.
In addition, Park Na-rae and Ipjjal-eun Haetnim allegedly received IV drips at an officetel in Ilsan, along with procedures using a high-frequency device claimed to aid fat breakdown and cellulite reduction. Notably, the high-frequency device in question is classified as medical equipment that cannot be purchased by individuals and must be used only by licensed medical professionals within medical institutions. Its use in an officetel therefore constitutes an illegal medical practice.
However, Ipjjal-eun Haetnim’s side denied the allegations, stating, “She did receive swelling medication from the hospital where A was working, but she has no connection to diet pills or IV drips.”
Meanwhile, Ipjjal-eun Haetnim is a popular mukbang YouTuber with 1.76 million subscribers and is currently a fixed cast member on tvN’s Amazing Saturday, from which Park Na-rae and SHINee’s Key have recently expressed their intention to step down.
