[마이데일리 = 이승길 기자] 그룹 NCT 태용과 앤더슨 팩이 컬래버레이션한 신곡 ‘Rock Solid (Feat. Anderson .Paak)’(록 솔리드)가 공개됐다.

17일 오후 1시 공개된 태용의 싱글 'Rock Solid (Feat. Anderson .Paak)'는 독특한 드럼 리듬과 반복적인 챈트 사운드가 인상적인 힙합 곡으로, 앤더슨 팩의 다이내믹한 플로우와 특유의 그루비한 리듬감이 곡의 분위기를 한층 끌어올리며, 태용의 강렬한 랩과 조화롭게 어우러져 색다른 매력을 선사한다.

가사에는 지금까지 갈고닦아 이뤄온 것들을 굳건히 지켜내겠다는 의지와 앞으로도 흔들림 없이 자신을 증명해 보이겠다는 확고한 자신감을 담았으며, 태용이 직접 작사와 작곡에 참여해 아티스트로서의 주체적인 면모를 다시 한번 입증한다.

‘Rock Solid (Feat. Anderson .Paak)’ 뮤직비디오는 일상의 배경음악처럼 어디에나 스며든 태용의 존재감을 엉뚱한 상황에 빗대어 그려냈으며, 금은방, 요트, 호텔 방 등 예상치 못한 공간에서 펼쳐지는 태용과 앤더슨 팩의 위트 있는 연기에 90년대 힙합 뮤직비디오 스타일의 연출이 더해져 신선한 재미를 선사한다.

앞서 태용은 2년 2개월 만의 신곡 발표를 앞두고 “오랜만에 새 음악을 들려드릴 수 있어 설레면서도 긴장된다. 열심히 준비한 만큼 많은 분들이 즐겁게 들어주셨으면 좋겠다”라는 소감과 함께 “신곡 ‘Rock Solid’가 여러분의 일상의 모든 순간에 긍정적인 에너지를 채워주는 음악이 되길 바란다”라고 덧붙였다.

또한 앤더슨 팩과의 협업에 대해 “새로운 시도이자 흥미로운 작업 과정이었다. 이번 작업을 통해 ‘음악을 이렇게도 만들 수 있구나’라는 새로운 깨달음을 얻었다. 아티스트로서 스스로를 확장하고, 세상을 바라보는 시야를 한층 넓히는 계기가 되었다”라고 말했다.

한편, 태용은 5월 중 첫 정규 앨범을 발표한다.
