[마이데일리 = 이정원 기자] "It's fun to play volleyball with the coach."
OK Savings Bank setter Lee Min-kyu succeeded in reviving this season. Lee Min-kyu, who left a regret after failing to perform well in recent years, returned to the Lee Min-kyu we knew after meeting with Lee Min-kyu and Shin Young-chul, a coach from Specifier.
He has started all 14 games this season, recording an average of 10.984 sets per set. It is the first time since the 2017-2018 season (10.302 sets) that Lee Min-kyu recorded more than 10 sets on average per set. In the meantime, injuries and sluggishness have hampered Lee.
Along with Lee Min-kyu, who is playing healthy, OK Savings Bank is also looking for a rebound. OK Savings Bank, which was humiliating the lowest in the last season, is ranked fifth with 21 points (7 wins and 7 losses) along with Shin Young-chul's appointment and veteran Jeon Kwang-in's joining. It is one point away from KEPCO (22 points and 8 wins and 6 losses), which is ranked third. It was Lee Min-kyu, who led the team to a 3-0 complete victory at home in Busan on the 12th. It stopped Korean Air from winning 11 consecutive games.
Lee Min-kyu, whom I met after the game, said, "For sure, Korean Air is strong. It is a team that has been playing undefeated games for more than a month. But we got three points," he said with a smile.

Dimitar Dimitrov (registered name Dimitrov) is slowly melting into the V-League. Coach Shin Young-chul is also satisfied with his recent performance in Dimitrov. It is important for Dimitrov to hit well, but it is also important for Lee Min-kyu to post well.
Lee Min-kyu said, "We need to keep Dimitrov alive. In a way, I need to work harder. It is the type of striker who has never experienced the same style as Dimitrov. Korea preferred powerful and high-powered mercenaries, but Dimitrov was not the type to do that. He said, "But the positive thing is that we are trying to fulfill what the coach and the coaching staff ask us to do. It might have been confusing at first, but now we are making efforts. It will get better."
Since Shin Young-chul's inauguration, OK Savings Bank has seen several players lead a new volleyball life. Lee Min-gyu, Cha Ji-hwan, and Jeon Kwang-in, a transfer student, are announcing a new beginning in Busan.

Lee Min-kyu said, "I'm grateful that I can play in the given situation. Sometimes I feel frustrated (laughs), but volleyball with the coach is fun. Ji-hwan also feels more encouraged by the trust. All the players must want to live up to their expectations and repay their trust. That kind of mindset comes out of training and comes out when they play," he said with a smile. "All the players are working hard to become better players. I will try to become better players by receiving the feedback from the coach."
