"Jonghyun, We Always Love You"—SHINee’s Message

On December 18, SHINee’s official social media posted a simple yet deeply moving message: “We always love you.” The post marked the 8th anniversary of Jonghyun’s passing on December 18, 2017, and touched the hearts of fans around the world.

Jonghyun debuted in 2008 as the main vocalist of SHINee and gained immense popularity with hit songs like “Replay,” “Love Like Oxygen,” and “Ring Ding Dong,” establishing himself as one of K-pop’s leading vocalists. In 2015, he also made his official solo debut, carving out a unique musical identity.

Jonghyun was also recognized for his talent as a singer-songwriter. He wrote and composed emotional and sincere tracks such as IU’s “Gloomy Clock” and Lee Hi’s “Breathe.” As a DJ on MBC Radio’s Blue Night with Jonghyun, he connected warmly with listeners through heartfelt conversations.

Though eight years have passed since his passing, Jonghyun’s music and his genuine voice continue to live on in the hearts and memories of many.
