BTS RM Obtains Driver’s License at 31: “No Plans to Buy a Car, I Wanted to Overcome My Trauma”

[Mydaily = Reporter Park Seoyeon] RM of BTS has obtained a Class 2 regular driver’s license. On the 16th, the members of BTS held a live broadcast via Weverse, during which RM revealed the news, saying, “Everyone, I, Kim Namjoon, got my license,” drawing applause from fans.

In response, J-Hope laughed and remarked, “I heard a rumor that you failed once,” to which RM explained, “I crossed the center line while making a U-turn. The paint had faded. It took me two tries for the road test.” He added, “I can drive, but I can’t park. I need to take parking lessons.”

RM went on to share his thoughts behind obtaining the license, saying, “I’m not planning to buy a car. I just wanted to try getting the license myself. I wanted to overcome my own trauma.” He later drew attention by sharing a photo of his Class 2 regular driver’s license on his personal social media account.

Meanwhile, BTS is scheduled to make a full-group comeback in March next year.
