‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Opens with 260K Admissions

[마이데일리 = 강다윤 기자] Avatar: Fire and Ash (directed by James Cameron) debuted at No. 1 at the Korean box office.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system on December 18, the film drew 265,055 moviegoers on its opening day, December 17, bringing its cumulative total to 266,435 admissions.

In second place was Zootopia 2 (directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush), which attracted 85,606 viewers for a cumulative total of 5,631,269 admissions.

The People Upstairs (directed by Ha Jung-woo) ranked third, drawing 9,154 viewers and pushing its total audience to 455,155.

Fourth place went to Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie – Shibuya Incident X Hidden Inventory (directed by Shotaro Goshozono), which recorded 4,044 admissions for a cumulative total of 317,780.

Rounding out the top five was Pororo the Movie: Sweet Castle Adventure (directed by Chun Yoo-rim), with 3,329 viewers and a cumulative 91,958 admissions.
